Start Over Again...
It was almost two years ago when I last updated this blog... How often have I ever used the phrase in the title: "start over again..." I hope that this time I can regularly keep a record of daily events or ideas that come upon myself.
While reading an article uploaded to a homepage I often browse, I came across a thought-evoking idea, which was "using poor English should be encouraged especially when creative activities are to be preceded". When researchers discuss or exchange ideas at a conference, for example, English as a common language should not necessarily be accurate in all aspects, but rather, poor English or broken English is perfectly welcome. Expressing ideas or opinions per se is much more important than using English correctly. This sort of viewpoint is truly indispensable in the field of teaching English, I believe. In other words, teaching English should shift from competence-oriented one to performance-oriented. The point is how teachers should provide students with opportunities to actually try to use English they learned.
Although writing a blog has little to do with creative activities, I'd like to follow the spirit of "poor English". I believe this is one of the key factors for constantly writing a blog without letup.
