On the last day of the year 2006

On the edge of the dawn of a new year, I'd like to look back over the past year. Here are some major events that particulary remain in my memory.

  1. In March, I visited Oneida, New York, on the exchange program with Oneida High School, a sister-school of Shuri High School, as a chaperon.
  2. In June, I got married to Carrie in Taipei, Taiwan.
  3. In September, my older sister got married and I emceed her wedding ceremony.
  4. In November, I could pass STEP 1st grade at long last...(^^)
  5. Throughout the year, I had a reunion with some old friends of mine for the first time in many years.

If I describe the year 2006 in a word, the word that comes upon my mind is "encounter". There are always various encouters every year, but I thought of the importance of an encounter with people again this year. I'm sure that I would meet many people in the year 2007 as well, so I'd like to cherish one encounter after another with a sense of gratitude.
