What causes a conflict among nations? What causes a conflict among individuals? What causes a conflict within oneself? When I come to think of it, the reason seems to be ascribed to the most fundamental defect of human beings: "self-centeredness" or "egoism"...

We are about to celebrate the Nativity. Jesus was brought to us so that all souls are to be saved. What does it mean "to be saved" then...? I personally suppose that to detach oneself from being "self-centered", which requires "Will", means in a sense to be saved... Jesus showed us how to be free from such "fetters" in His parables, in His words, and in His deeds. As a matter of fact, He was so much free from "self-centeredness" as to give up His life for us to be saved...

If we can be fully free from "self-centeredness", ultimate peace and happiness will surely reside within us...

Where there's a "Will", there's a "Love". And where there's the "Love", there's the "God"... Or it might be more accurate: Where there's the "God", there's the "Love". And where there's the "Love", there's a "Will"...

A year has passed since C-san and I met one another... Above all, thank God that He has watched over us for the past one year. And wish that He continues to share His love with us.

Hymn to charity (1 Corinthians 13.1-7)

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

How far away I am from "Charity" or "Love"...
