I have been kind of busy with preparing for the second series of the teacher's exam, which begins next Monday, so I haven't written for a couple of days... I just wanna look back upon the past few days in brief... The intensive course for the teacher's exam started on 8/12 (Tue.), and I attended classes every day since then till yesterday, 8/14 (Thurs.) I had no classes today, so I have been at home all day long, preparing for the teaching demonstration as well as for an essay exam etc...

It's the feast for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary today, 8/15. Also, today is the anniversary of the end of the second world war. I've learned from a news program that all the religious leaders in Okinawa gathered together at the Peace Memorial Museum and paid tribute to the war dead praying for everlasing peace...

I felt sorry to hear that northeastern part of the US and southeastern part of Canada were hit by the massive power blackout. I was in NY exactly a year ago today, so I couldn't take the incident as merely a problem for someone else, and devoured the online articles reporting the latest situations to figure out how things were going on... Fortunately, power has been slowly coming back, and things are gradually returning to normal. Also, I was a little glad to know that few cases of plunder were reported...
