Here I put the record of yesterday together with today's log...
(Monday, August 11)
It's exactly a week before the second series of the teacher's exam... The second series starts on 8/18 and lasts till 8/20 for 3 days. In addition to an "essey exam", "vocational apptitude tests", a "computer skill test", a "10 min teaching demonstration", a "group discussion" and an "individual interview" are scheduled... Also, applicants are expected to submit a page long "teaching philosophy" sort of thing as well as a "lesson plan" based on which the demonstration is going to be given... This is the last hurdle to jump over to become a public school teacher... Everybody is trying harder to pass the exam with passion for becoming a teacher... I truly wish that God richly blesses each one of us, and that every one of us can show our true ability to the utmost on the exam...
(Sunday, August 10)
Okinawa Monorail has finally opened today: the first railroad transportation system ever since the second world war... (click on here for further info.) Okinawa has been known as a motorized society, and people have been bothered by unpleasant traffic jam... The new transportation system is , therefore, expected to alleviate the traffic jam for one thing... It may affect people's life style in Okinawa in one way...
---------
I went to a barbershop. There were two TV sets in front of the chairs where customers were supposed to sit in. When I was having my hair cut, a funny talk show was on air. Although I didn't turn my face toward it, I could still hear what people were talking about on the show. I sometimes chuckled at their conversation, sometimes almost yelled my head off... But I was afraid that it might bother the hairstylist if I moved when I laughed, so I tried harder to stifle my laughter... Somehow, I could control myself, but it was not easy... So, here is an opinion of mine... They shouldn't show funny programs on TV at the barbershop (^^;
---------
I was touched by C-san's thoughtfulness to me... I'll never forget this... Also, I shouldn't forget my family's compassion for me... I'll definately repay them for their kindness in some way...
---------
"For in the end, if we live truly... we shall truly live." In his reply to my email, J-san wrote to me this words with full of wisdom... Thanks a lot, J-san... I "truly" wish that this coming new academic year brings on you greater joy, happiness, love, successful achievement and lots more... Stay blessed...
